Meet Remarkable Olympic Medal Winning Cyclist Marion Clignet
Healing Young Hearts Goodwill Ambassador
Marion is a world class cyclist, winner of six world titles and 2 Olympic silver medals, as well as numerous national championship races. She placed second in the famous Tour de France international cycling race, received the National Order of Merit from the President of France in 1996 and 2000, and went on to write a book about her life, ‘Tenacious’.
Marion accomplished all this despite the fact that she has epilepsy. “Obstacles became a challenge,” she observes about her life as a competitive cyclist, “and epilepsy drove me over them.”
Marion radiates hope as she explains the message she wishes most to convey to Chinese people with epilepsy: “Be proud of who you are”.
